After installation, launch the data recovery tool, and click one of the recovery modes according to your needs.
Smart Recovery ? It can automatically recover your deleted and lost data. This effective recovery mode should be tried first in most cases of data loss.
Common Recovery ? Under this recovery tab, there are Deleted File Recovery, Lost File Recovery and Lost Partition Recovery for your choice.
Advanced Recovery ? Under this recovery tab, there are Raw Recovery and Resume Recovery for your choice.
Smart Recovery/Deleted File Recovery/ Lost File Recovery /Raw Recovery
For Smart Recovery, Deleted File Recovery, Lost File Recovery, and RAW Recovery, please follow the 3 easy steps, and you can recover deleted, formatted, and lost data on your own.
Here takes Smart Recovery as an example.
Step 1. Select a partition or drive where your lost data located .
- A list of partitions found on the drives or other storage media found by the data recovery tool will be displayed. Select the one that your lost files located.
- Click ?Scan? to start scanning for files.
Tips
- The scanning time depends on which recovery mode is selected.
- You can pause or stop the scan in mid-process. For best results, you should allow the scan to complete.
- You have the option to save the previous scan results for continuous data recovery at any time without rescanning.
Step 2. Find out the files you need.
Find out the target data that you want to recover. Click ?Recover? to proceed to destination selection interface. Or click Back to return to the partition selection interface.
- You can preview your images, documents, and archives before recovery.
- The scan results for deleted file recovery will be listed with original name and path, while files for RAW recovery will be listed according to file formats.
- Files can be sorted by name, size, created and modified date.
- You can use file filter to search the specific files precisely and quickly.
Step 3. Select a destination to save the recoverable data.
- Select or enter a directory to store the recovered files.
- We highly suggest you select another directory which is different from the source one, in case it would eventually overwrite the source data.
Lost Partition Recovery
Select Lost Partition Recovery under Common Recovery tab.
Step 1. Select the physical drive which your deleted or lost partition located, and click ?Scan?. Step 2. Select the partition and click ?Scan?
All the deleted, formatted and lost partitions will be listed. Choose one and start scanning. Select the partition where your lost data located
Tips
The scan time depends on which recovery mode is selected. The scan may take several minutes in the Deleted File Recovery, or up to an hour or two in the Raw Recovery You can pause or stop the scan in mid-process. Resume Recovery
